The local dealer was contacted and it was confirmed that the part was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the driver’s and passenger’s side turn signals were flashing quickly. No warning light was illuminated. The dealer removed the wiring harness which rendered the tow hitch inoperable. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and informed the contact that the removal of the wiring harness was the fix for the recall repair. Because Hyundai has not manufactured or supplied the necessary extension cable connecting the new module to the hitch, the remedy is incomplete, and my factory-purchased towing equipment is now entirely inoperable. The Dealer has stated "CAMPAIGN COMPLETE" and has no plans to get the necessary cable.
